This course is for graduate students in Library Science who have minimum or no background in designing an Information System. As a preliminary requirement, students are expected to identify a major function of a Library and determine the feasibility of automating its operation. Once established, the course introduces the necessary tools and processes that would lay the foundation of developing a Library Information System. The course does not require programming skills and no actual development of the identified system is expected from the students.
