MedSci 113 Physiology with Research Component

This specialized course uniquely combines an in-depth study of human physiology with an introductory focus on medical research methodology, set within the context of the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), specifically SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, and SDG 4: Quality Education.

The course provides a robust understanding of the human body’s function in health and disease, encompassing key body systems such as the nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, and endocrine systems. Theoretical concepts are paired with their clinical relevance, linking academic knowledge to real-world applications.

Incorporated into the course is a tailored research component, guiding students in the art of formulating compelling research questions, writing an impactful introduction, and designing effective methodologies for data collection and analysis.

In alignment with the SDGs, this course seeks to prepare future healthcare professionals who are well-versed in human physiology and the rudiments of medical research, facilitating their contribution towards global health, well-being, and quality education.
