This course deals with the production practices emphasizing sustainable crop production management including postproduction of the different plantation crops. This will focus mainly on the major plantation crops that have shown greater potential to contribute to the country’s economy. This also includes different factors that affect production including socio-economic, soil and climatic factors. The recent production status and technologies employed in plantation crop production will also be dealt with in relation to food security and climate change

This course will serve as an instrument to advance student’s skills in organizing and conducting a seminar and presenting a paper. These skills will certainly be valuable in their professional and other future endeavors. This course also showcases up-to-date information about what is new and emerging technologies and techniques in fundamental and applied horticultural sciences
